Searching for Ways to Reduce Stress?

Jun 16, 2023

How do you feel about taking your mind off your daily tasks and just being? Examples would be sitting in stillness connecting to your breath to bring a sense of peacefulness, or it can be a brisk jog through the woods letting go of the days work and tuning into your stride and your connection with the world around you. There are many ways we can relieve stress in our lives and invite relaxation.

The question is, do you view this action as a necessity or a luxury? Productive or nonproductive time? I challenge you to take responsibility for your inner peace and reduction of stress!

You may be asking, “How?”

Look lovingly and honestly at the elements that cause you stress and how you can either reduce those elements or choose a detached healthier stance when dealing with these situations. What do I mean by “healthier stance?” Imagine yourself seated in a movie theater viewing your life movie, observing the scenes free of judgment and filled with love and compassion for all the characters.

I think the best way to cultivate this mindset is spending time in stillness exploring mentally and emotionally how you process life experiences. Doing this activity not to beat yourself up but to grow and feel better about the way you respond. You have to make time spent with self a priority and recognize it as productive time.
