Does this describe you? You understand and practice the principles of mindfulness, you have been on the self-discovery journey for a long while, and you feel like you own you it, you’ve got it. However, when life throws challenges at you, and you are practicing your techniques, you find yourself frustrated by some things you are feeling and asking, “Why am I feeling this way?”
As a long time self-development specialist, I understand this frustration. Often you feel like you should be “further along” or more “evolved” in your journey and you may feel aggravated that you’ve hit a wall. First, recognize what is going on, sit in the discomfort, and release the negative self-talk the ego offers and the need to control, and look at things with your developed sense of awareness. You’re not done. As Dr. Wayne Dyer says, “Practice letting go of thoughts about what’s not here now.” Recognize that you could not have gotten to this wall if you had not done the work on your path.
My suggestion is to root yourself in your practice, let go of the need to control, and live fully connected to your crown chakra and surrender to that connection, knowing it will come in time.
