I have observed that life is lead with emotional attachment. We do not think we love or care unless we emotionally attach ourselves to a situation or life experience. I believe that we can best serve ourselves and others if we choose to detach and see the situation as an observer.
Often our response to a situation is based on programming that we have lived with for a while and a belief system that being attached emotionally is the best way to act or be. That is why it is so difficult to cultivate this new way of living.
Learning to detach from emotion allows us to see all perspectives and breaks us out of the cloudy tunnel-vision of emotional attachment, and we begin to see solutions. By tapping into this inner power, we make a conscious choice as to how we authentically wish to respond in life. Here is a guided exercise to foster this state of inner peace and positive results.
