The body is always speaking, are you listening? Tuning into the messages that your body is sending you is a great way to be mindful, and is one way to practice present moment awareness. The body holds wisdom for us and alerts us when it processes stress and strains. If you tune in during those moments, you can tell which muscles are carrying tension. The bonus of this mindful practice is you can do it anytime anywhere. For instance, riding in a car or train, walking between offices at work or rooms at home or when you’re eating lunch.
The key is to relax and observe, free of analysis or judgment, choose to acknowledge what you feel throughout your body. Listen and let your body be your guide to understanding what you need.
