Hello, lovely souls!

As we begin another week, I want to share a simple yet powerful practice that can transform the quality of your day. Imagine starting each morning with a sense of purpose, calm, and joy—this is the magic that mindful intention can bring into your life.

Every morning, I wake up with the anticipation of enjoying a delicious cup of coffee in the quiet stillness before the world stirs awake. It’s this small yet delightful experience that motivates me to get out of bed. I’m fortunate to have a coffee pot that brews my coffee automatically, so I’m greeted with the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee as soon as I come downstairs. It’s my personal morning ritual, and I even sing the Folger’s jingle, “The best part of waking up…,” as I head to the kitchen.

However, I understand that not everyone wakes up with the same excitement. Many of us, due to our natural human tendency to focus on fears or dislikes, might feel a sense of trepidation as we start our day. This can unintentionally send a message of unease into our future, affecting the quality of our day.

But here’s the beautiful truth: despite the busyness and challenges of our lives, there is an abundance of joy and experiences worth savoring. By starting each day with a positive intention, we can attract more of this natural bliss into our lives. It doesn’t have to be anything grandiose celebrating the warmth of your morning coffee or the stillness of the dawn can be enough. Remember, we get stronger and better at the things we practice the most, so be patient with yourself as you develop this habit. When you send positive intentions ahead of your day, you create a momentum that manifests in your personal and professional relationships, your work, and your overall interaction with the world. Anxiety softens, and a sense of peace and purpose takes its place.

So, I encourage you, each morning, when you first awaken, take several deep, grounding breaths and reaffirm a positive intention to set the tone for your day. Quietly bless your day with words like, “May my day be filled with purpose, passion, productivity, and peace of mind.” Feel these words, think them deeply, and if you’re a visual person, imagine yourself as a light-filled being illuminating everything and everyone you encounter. If you commute to work, visualize your car and journey being paved with golden light, ensuring a safe and smooth commute. Extend this light to your workplace, infusing it with your positive intention.

Then, watch how your day unfolds. Enjoy the miracle moments that arise from this practice.
