What are you feeling right now?

Here is this week’s mindful moment. 

What emotion are you feeling at this present moment? Can you just notice what you are noticing about it? What are your thoughts? How does your physical body feel?

This emotion is your responsibility, no one else’s. That may make a few folks uncomfortable. No matter how the emotion comes to be, it is your responsibility. Emotions are impermanent. They come and go at us like waves cresting and receding. Can you just allow this feeling to be, observe it without judging it? And, if you are ready for a different feeling, can you respond to your own distress with love and compassion and simply ask “ While this is a temporary emotion, it is here and now, how can I care for it? What do I need?” You are teaching your mind and body, that you hear it, honor it and will respond to its needs.

This is way more effective than berating yourself or suppressing what you are feeling. That feeling is not going anywhere. In fact, that feeling influences your thoughts and your perception of reality.

So I encourage you to know what you are dealing with. See it for what it is and choose your course of action. It is so empowering! Enjoy a day of tuning in! Love some feedback – let me know your thoughts…
